What happens to malignant hearts after season 1

I know characters are transferred from season to eternal realms but what happens to malignant hearts when it's over?

Typically any items that are unique to a Season are simply deleted. That means any hearts that are in your inventory will not get mailed to you and any hearts that are socketed will become accessories with empty sockets.
